We use Douglas Fir for this product. It is a dense wood, and much more durable than the cheaper pine or redwood commonly available. It is very weather-resistant and often used for decking or siding.

All our products come fully assembled and ready for use. We handcraft them in our workshop in East Sussex.

Please note that chairs will be transported on a pallet and delivered to the kerbside only of the delivery address. If you would like the removal of the pallet, please get in touch with us as soon as possible to make arrangements.
We use Douglas Fir for our chairs. It is very durable outdoors. However, like all natural wood, it will contain and develop what might be considered defects. These will not affect the durability of your chair, and as your chair weathers, will not be so noticeable. These include:

Small knots

Small splits

Different colouration on different pieces of wood
